About the Speaker:
Alicia Wong currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Project Services at State Compensation Insurance Fund. In her role, she provides oversight for enterprise-wide projects and initiatives that bring enhanced customer experiences and innovation to the organization’s employees, policyholders, and brokers towards their vision to be the workers’ compensation insurance carrier of choice.
Alicia has been in civil service for 25 years supporting various departments. She formerly was with the California Government Operations Agency, where she was appointed by the Governor to build a statewide team, create an operational strategy and develop programs designed to promote full participation in the 2020 Census. As the Census Chief Deputy Director, she oversaw a $187 million portfolio of high visibility programs and projects. Prior to serving as the Chief Deputy Director, she spent over five years at the California Department of Technology. She held various roles, including Project Director where she led the project to develop California’s first online application to offer driver licenses, identification cards, and commercial driver licenses.
Alicia is a member of the Asian Pacific State Employees Association and served many years on the Board of Directors, including President. During her tenure, she created the Career Development Program to share information with others to help in their professional pursuits and to connect members to build networks and mentors in the community.
