Membership Application

Thank you for considering ACSED membership!

As an ACSED member, you help make a difference for current and future state employees with disabilities. If you do not have time to be involved with ACSED activities, we understand and still very much appreciate your kind and generous financial support that helps the association towards its mission to impact California state employees with disabilities.

Located below are links to ACSED’s membership application, plus a table containing details of ACSED’s membership categories and dues. Dues are approximately equivalent to: $1 per month for students that are not state employees, $2 per month for persons that are not students and not state employees, and $2.50 per month for current state employees. If you are a state employee that becomes an ACSED member, we humbly ask you to continue supporting the association by becoming a Supporting Member upon your departure from state service by providing ACSED your contact information to help effectuate the change. Instructions for membership application submission and dues are provided after the Membership Categories and Dues table.

ACSED’s regular member dues can be paid by convenient automatic monthly payroll or retirement deductions. All categories of members also have the option pay dues by personal check or personal credit card. Please be aware, when submitting dues by personal credit card, there is a nominal fee charged by PayPal to use their service. Also, please note that ACSED does not accept payment of membership dues by any individual state agency by either check or credit card.

Dues Payment Process

If you prefer to download the application form and want to pay by credit card or payroll/retirement deduction, you can scan the completed form and email it to ACSED Membership Registrar, Lisa Brown at lbrown.acsed@gmail.com.

If you wish to pay by check, you will need to print the completed application and send it by mail to:

If you use the online application form and indicate you want to pay by credit card, once you click on “become a member” you will be redirected to PayPal which is our online payment processing service. During this process, if your web browser blocks redirection from one site to another, you may need to change that setting to allow redirection to PayPal.

Once you are redirected, you will have the option to pay your dues using your personal PayPal account (if you have or wish to establish one) or to simply enter your credit or debit card information without logging into PayPal. As a reminder, dues paid by credit card have a nominal charge added by PayPal to use their service.

Please note that, in subsequent years, you will receive a renewal notice and your dues will automatically be billed to the same card. However, you always have the option to change your payment method at any time.
